![]() ![]() Long Spears and Lances (Spear Warriors, Lance Cavalry, Raider Cavalry, Cataphracts, even Peasant Spearmen) have a Bonus vs Cavalry modifier of 11. which is hidden on the Detailed Unit Card. One thing that I might criticize is that Total War: Three Kingdoms has a Bonus vs Cavalry stat given to all units. Please make sure to defend them as they are a very micro heavy unit. Overall, the Repeating Crossbow is a very niche usage on an open field battle. Used against a charging unit, and their Charge Bonus is more or less almost negated. ![]() They're good on walls when the enemy is nearing them as the Suppression Debuff reduces the Range/Melee Attack Rate (By 33%), Melee Charge Bonus (By 500), and Charge Speed (By 25%). It's not meant to kill (Unless you're using them against peasants and militia level mooks) as its main drawing is its Suppression Debuff. The Repeating Crossbow is mostly useless on an open flat terrain as the range is very limited at 120 range. Spear Warriors has a higher Charge Bonus than Ji Infantry. Spear Warriors, Spear Guards, and Spear Cavalry have a higher Anti-Cavalry bonus than Ji Infantry/ Ji Cavalry. Ji Infantry/Cavalry has lower Armor Piercing Damage, but higher Base Damage over Spear Infantry/Cavalry. Just general couple of questions for what does what in battle since i donno, I'm just confused. what is sword cav for when spear cav does only little worse against archers, while having bigger charge and being good at fighting other cav? why use bows while crossbows do exactly same thing but also pierce armor (also how does AP dmg works? is it separate damage, or it just means how much of normal damage is AP?) what swords and Ji are for? dosen't axe and spear do exactly same thing as these two but better? I.e I know that in 3K axes counter any shields, spears counter cavalary, and the archers are basically useless against any unit with a shield, but I got couple of questions poping in my head, and the lackluster of 3K content lead me here. While infantry can have, Ji, spears, swords, shields with spears, axes.Īnd archers have, bows, crossbows, and repeating crossbows, I don't really know what to choose from I don't quite understand the impact of unit weapons on eachother and where they are best. the only problem is that it's propably the most confusing total war game i played. ![]() I recently started playing total war three kingdoms again, and i really love that game.
